the collective

The Lumen Collective (TLC) is an ICAEW-regulated fractional finance practice based in London, founded by Ben Leadbetter (ACA, CTA, FCT). We combine accounting, tax and treasury expertise under one roof, drawing on senior experience at PwC, Grant Thornton, Revolut and Corpay.

We work as embedded members of your team on a subscription basis, not as external advisers producing reports from a distance. Whether you need a Finance Director, CFO, Treasurer or Group Financial Controller, we match the right level of seniority to your needs.

Our technical project services cover tax advisory and compliance led by a Chartered Tax Adviser, treasury management and FX risk hedging led by a Fellow of the Association of Corporate Treasurers, integrated financial modelling for fundraising, budgets and regulatory capital planning, statutory financial statements under FRS 102 and IFRS, business insights and data analytics using Power BI and AI-powered workflows, and finance-side deal support across the full transaction lifecycle.

We operate an AI-native delivery model, using automation and technology to handle routine tasks efficiently. This means more of your budget goes toward strategic thinking and problem-solving. Subscription plans start from £2,500 per month. Technical projects are typically £5,000 to £10,000 with fixed pricing agreed upfront.

The firm is supervised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Our founder is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and a Fellow of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
